DURATEC BASE PRIMER - Base Primer is a polyester-based system which can be applied by spray, brush or roller, allowing for significant build up (between 1-3 mm maximum) which can quickly be applied by wet-on-wet applications with minimum sag. The product quickly air-cures to a surface which is easy to sand and shape and provides a stable base for the application of the DURATEC SURFACE PRIMER. This product is used for preparing a plug for surfacing when you require high-build filling, fairing and shaping of various substrates including wood, MDF, FRP, foam, plaster, etc. The DURATEC BASE PRIMER has a higher heat distortion temperature than other polyester putties thus reducing the risk of post-cure distortion from elevated temperatures due to exotherm and consequential print-through of substrates. Product is sold by the gallon. 4 gallons per case.

Gel Time: Sample based on a 100 g mass, catalyzed at 2 percent with mekP - 15 min.

Coverage per Gallon: 20 mil thickness - 55-60 ft. sq. ; 500 micron thickness - 4-5 m. sq.
